Hello, I am actor Ahn Sung-yeol.

I am not an actor who stays confined to a single genre, but someone who has held onto acting as a craft for a long time. I began focusing on the stage, but that time wasn’t about stage acting alone; it was time spent building a foundation that wouldn’t falter in front of a camera either.

After long periods of portraying diverse characters, I have learned to think first about why a character must live a certain way, rather than how to dramatically express emotions. So even when situations change or the medium differs, I can keep the character’s core intact and perform convincingly.

The focus, breath control developed on stage, and the quick-thinking honed on set naturally carry over to the camera. Not overacting, yet clearly conveying that the character truly exists—this is my greatest strength.

I aim to provide reliable steadiness within a project so that the director and crew can entrust me with confidence, and I want to be remembered by that name: Ahn Sung-yeol.
