A sharp, fierce appearance and a low, nasal voice. The chill and weight that meet you at first sight are my outward weapons. But on stage and in front of the camera, that chill converts into an unexpected comic rhythm. Since moving to Seoul in 2009, I've honed my comic acting across theater, musicals, and media, and that experience, contrasted with my sharp looks, twists characters into more dimensional forms.

The starting point of my acting is always the words in the script. I dig obsessively into the language the character chooses and the reasons behind their actions, focusing on the central intent the piece aims to reveal. In my twenties I maintained unwavering concentration to carry a four-page A4 dreamer’s monologue; that fierce focus has become a solid persistence that keeps me centered no matter the role. With a flexible voice that can range into high tones and even feminine timbres as the situation requires, I will shape the precise textured character the director wants.
