Hello, I’m actor Kwon Hyuk.

I graduated from the Department of Theater and, after graduation, have mainly performed on stage. Because of that, I don’t have a lot of screen experience. This left me with some regret while I was on stage, but I now think of it as an opportunity to refine my acting on stage, so I feel more gratitude than regret about my career so far.

What I consider most important in acting is the actor’s ambition. They say there is no right answer in art, and there is no right answer in acting either. Since there is no single correct path, the better the acting becomes as much as the actor’s own ambition and drive. I’ve always wanted to be really good at acting, I know there are many shortcomings, and I still feel I am lacking. To improve, I think the most important things are the actor’s longing and ambition for acting.

Acting seems to yield the best results with lots of practice. An actor is always incomplete, so I strive to be someone who fills the gaps as much as possible and works with ambition to improve.

My image is neutral, yet it can be kind or even wicked at times. Because of that, I feel my range broadens when it comes to character casting. I think I’m more comfortable and capable of portraying characters who are opposite of gentle and naive, rather than solely kind roles. Of course, I believe I can handle kind roles as well :)

I’m the actor who pours my heart into my work and pays meticulous attention to every little detail. If I ever get the chance to collaborate, I would be truly happy.
