I am actor Kim Woojin, who dreams of a world where humans help each other through acting. When I learned from my mentor to "dream of a world where humans help one another and act accordingly," I began to see acting as a good deed that helps someone during performances. If someone watches a show and feels something—whether they laugh with joy or cry out of sadness—that seed becomes a sprout capable of changing the world. While watching the play Thousand Purple? (천개의 파랑), the line “take your time and practice slowly” made me reflect on my own passion for acting and ultimately led me to make the major life choice of leaving my job as a firefighter. I want to harness the power of theater to inspire more people not just by putting on performances, but through my acting and excellent works, supporting life.
