Hello!

I’m Kang Yujeong, the actress who appeared as the Helmet Girl in the opening scene of <Squid Game 2> and left a mark on the nation. Every time someone who reads my resume says, “Oh? Was that you?” and smiles, I feel genuinely grateful.

I debuted in 2018 with a minor role and have been steadily expanding the significance of my characters. When I first began acting, I sometimes had naïve thoughts like “my own unique acting” or “stand out with a bold character.” However, as time passed and I studied acting more deeply, I realized what people truly long for in this era is authenticity and empathy.

People these days don’t easily trust each other and often live not knowing who lives next door. Sometimes they carry unnamed anger and anxiety. If the characters I portray can touch someone’s heart, even for a moment, and become a channel to share emotions, I would be infinitely happy as an actor.

I view acting as “discipline.” Constantly observing and pondering various lives, and through those reflections at each moment, living a character sincerely. Acting is, to me, incredibly appealing and, at the same time, a sacred craft.

These days I’m diligently exploring life and studying my heart, immersing myself in various acting trainings. I look forward to continuing to work with good people on diverse sets and creating work with depth as we move forward.
