Hello, I’m actor Kim Do-young, born in 1984. I began my professional theater career at the age of 20 and am still actively performing on stage today. The decision to venture into screen acting and film came as I started to settle into marriage and family life. I believed it would be difficult to sustain myself solely through theater, so I chose to pursue acting in film and television because I love acting and want to build a steady path as an actor.

To walk this path, I’ve pondered what mindset I should carry. Whenever I stand before the camera, it’s different from standing on stage in front of an audience. On stage, I face the audience; before a camera, I’m facing many crew members. Perhaps that’s why I feel that actors in film and TV resemble generals going into battle. A commander at the front lines. I’ve resolved to become such an actor. An actor who earns everyone’s trust and faithfully rewards it. I won’t become that actor overnight, but I will continue to develop into one who consistently earns trust and repays it. Thank you.
